Getting Started
Getting started with the Central Florida Regional Planning Model is simple, using the following instructions.
CFRPM 7 Overview[edit]
Description and details of the most recent version of the CFRPM including key changes/updates to the model as well as hardware and software requirements.
How to Request Model Files For Download[edit]
Download the model by sending a request to requests@cfrpm.org.
Installation & Set Up[edit]
There are a total of six (6) *.ZIP files that make up the CFRPM download package.
- CFRPM7.#######_ Cube_Model.zip
- CFRPM7.####### _InterimYears2020-2030.zip
- CFRPM7. ####### _InterimYears2035-2040.zip
- CFRPM7.####### _STOPS.zip
- CFRPM7.#######_STOPSAutoSkims2015-2025.zip
- CFRPM7.####### _STOPSAutoSkims2030-2045.zip
The ####### represents the version number. The first digit indicates a major update release number (0, 1, 2, etc.) and the remaining six digits indicate a minor release number, using a two-digit year, 2-digit month and 2-digit day format.
Instructions

- Unzip CFRPM7.#######_Cube_Model.zip.
- Once unzipped, there will be a subfolder named CFRPM7. Move that folder onto your location of choice. For many users, the C:/FSUTMS folder is the preferred location. This all depends on your needs and requirements.
- Try not to nest deep into a folder directory, and refrain from using long folder names.
- DO NOT put spaces or periods in any of the folder names. This will cause CFRPM to crash.
- Unzip CFRPM7.#######_InterimYears2020-2030.zip and CFRPM7.#######_InterimYears2035-2040.zip. Once unzipped, merge those folders with the existing CFRPM7 folder.
- Unzip CFRPM7.#######_STOPS.zip.
- Once unzipped, there will be a subfolder named STOPS. Move that folder into the CFRPM 7 folder.
- Unzip CFRPM7.#######_STOPSAutoSkims2015-2025.zip and CFRPM7.#######_STOPSAutoSkims2030-2045.zip. Once unzipped, merge those folders with the existing CFRPM7/STOPS folder.

System Requirements[edit]
This section documents the minimum and recommended hardware and software requirements to completely run CFRPM 7.
The listed requirements are suggested minimums; a computer that does not meet these requirements may still succeed in running the model unless noted. Increased processor speeds, multiple processor cores in excess of the minimum, and additional memory will reduce the amount of time required to run the model. The required disk space for installation and additional scenarios can be on a local or network drive and must be available before attempting to run the model. However, model run times will be longer if the model is run from a network drive instead of a local drive.
